For those who are not yet aware what all of these abbreviations mean on EDM songs, ‘VIP’ does not stand for very important producer, it instead means that song is a Variation In Production. EDM producers will often go through a bunch of different VIPs before they settle on the final sound of a song. Skrillex is known to have even as many as seven VIPs for a single song. Here’s a recently surfaced VIP of one of Foreign Beggars and Skrillex’s most popular songs.

Up and coming Dubstep artist, Cyrex, has been releasing a ton of hot tracks lately. His latest chune is a remix of Datsik’s “Fully Blown”, and it’s absolute fire. Interviewing Cute Kids About Skrillex and Dubstep

What would happen if you took a bunch of young children, introduced them to dubstep, Skrillex and in particular his song “Bangarang”, then interview them? That is exactly what Noisey did with a bunch of young British kids who said some of the darnedest things (anyone get that nostalgic reference?). It’s also hilarious that these kids sound so well behaved and mature entirely because of their adorable accents.

It’s not uncommon for EDM producers to take a pop track, even a Justin Bieber one, and remix it. One of the first songs I heard by the Jump Smokers, for example, was their track “Digital Biebs”. Even having saying that, this remix was kind of unexpected, but surprisingly good. If you weren’t feeling the original song, you’ll want to definitely still give this one a shot, with a harder electro sound, and an endless supply of Dada, it’s a winner.

Now this is just what I needed today, on Wobble Wednesday nontheless! Bassnectar finally dropped the music video for “Ugly” — one of my favorite songs off his new album Vava Voom. Not only is the track hot as hell, and free, the music video is completely — in Bassnectar’s words — “ba-nar-nars”! I think you will agree once you watch for yourself.
